Basic Academic Skills Test

Today, the junior high school boys had their annual basic academic skills test. They are tested on how much they have retained of their classes over the last year so we can plan our teaching for the next academic year.

The 66k had the test for the first time and they were tested on English and mathematics, after which they had regular classes.

The 65k boys had a study period in the first lesson, followed by the core five subjects: Japanese, math, English, science and social studies.

The 64k boys had an even harder schedule with a two hour math exam in the afternoon following morning exams for the other four subjects.

Third term is always very busy with testing and other academic matters, but it is an important part of preparing our junior high school students for what they will face in a few years time in 高3.
