Make Like a Banana and Split

Yesterday and today the boys of 68k had their first split classes. At Gakuin, students in the first and second grade of JHS have split classes once per week. In split classes, the class is divided in half with the English A and English B teachers taking just over 20 students each. This way, the students can practice their speaking and writing skills with more focused guidance. In their class, the boys were asked to do a short self-introduction speech.

They all did a good job and we hope that they can continue improving their output skills. At Gakuin, we place a strong importance on internationalization and communication. We hope that our students become good at not only taking English tests, but also at using English for communicative purposes in the future. In our globalizing, skill-based society practical application of knowledge is becoming increasingly important.
