At the end of summer students received school iPads and projectors were installed in the classrooms. Today I observed a few classes on the 3F of the school and 100% of the classes I stopped by were engaged in learning by ICT.

In geography class, 中2C boys were giving presentations about Japan using PowerPoint.

Next door in the Japanese 甲 class, 中2D boys were giving presentations, too.

This presentation was about a volunteer crowdfunding website.

Back in the main building in 中2B a teacher was using the projector rather the blackboard to ask important questions.

Verifying information you find online is very difficult.

Finally, in the 合併室 the 中3 students were using their iPads for online speaking. They have 1-to-1 conversations with native English speakers living in other countries.

They are all very eager to communicate with people living abroad, even though it can be a little difficult.

As the society around us changes, we here at Hiroshima Gakuin are changing to match the times. We hope our students can grow into adults capable of appropriately and proficiently using new technologies.
