Spring has come

It’s been a rather cold winter in Hiroshima this year with multiple snow falls, but today is the first of March and spring is officially here. Most of the plants and trees are still bald from winter, but I was able to glance a few signs of life around the school.

Cherry tree outside of the front yard looks bare, but…

If you peer closely, you can see that some buds are beginning to form.

Most of the daffodils are still closed, but I could catch a glimpse of yellow.

The leaves and flowers of this hydrangea looks dead, but can you spot hints of green beginning to reappear?

I also went to see some of 63K playing dodgeball.

Today is the last LHR of the year, which means it’s also the last LHR of Junior High School for the 63K boys. We have exams next week, after which the 63K boys will graduate from Junior High and become Senior High School students. Their Gakuin journey is half way over!
